I don't like the idea of internet dating either.  Trawling through screen after screen of saddos.  I was talking to someone who has done it and she says it's true that people do lie, especially about their appearance, which I thought a bit odd.  Isn't it obvious if you intend to meet anyone you'll get found out. 

e.g. I'm a 6'4", blonde haired, solvent, adonis with a six pack really means I'm 6'4" when I stand on the top rung of a stepladder, blonde haired (just the one), solvent (abuser), Adonis (now that he's been dead forever) with a six pack of Carlsberg Special Brew.
