A mural honouring footballer Marcus Rashford has been vandalised with graffiti following England's defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 final.

The artwork in Withington, Manchester, was defaced shortly after England lost in a penalty shootout on Sunday.

Rashford, along with Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, missed penalties in the 3-2 shootout and was targeted on social media after the game.

The prime minister has condemned racist abuse aimed at the players.

Boris Johnson described it as "appalling," adding the team deserved "to be lauded as heroes, not racially abused on social media".

"Those responsible for this appalling abuse should be ashamed of themselves," he said.

The FA also said it was "appalled" by the targeting of the three players following the defeat at Wembley.

However, evidence is accumulating that woke retard Mr Southgate selected the penalty takers on the basis of skin pigmentation, rather than experience and psychological suitability. Absolutely spot on! It was placed there as a deliberate act of provocation directed towards the local population, all of those who do not subscribe to the lies and machinations of ‘Woke’ ideology. The ultimate aim of propaganda is not to convert those who dissent from the official line, but to humiliate and demoralise them. Every time we are subjected to a lie, or the manifestation of something that we know to be untrue, we feel just that little more diminished inside of our souls because we did not (or could not) engage in any action to oppose it.
