We will be travelling to Manchester next Sunday but wish to avoid city centre parking. As we are both 65+ we could travel on buses using our passes from outside the city, which would be our preference. We will be travelling from Barnsley passing through the Denton and Gorton areas I believe ? We could street park or use an industrial park, shopping centre etc.

We would prefer  to park close to a bus route if possible.

Cheers

Best making you way to Manchester rd Droylsden go to cemetery rd tram stop on said rd and park on the main rd or just off it, and use tram to Manchester City centre ,

Cahill, you will pass through Mottram, you could take M/way from there to Hyde[3 MLS] come off slip taking the left,go through lights,Clarendon car parks just to the right, park in council not private sector ,£1 for 3 hrs long stay cant cost much.
Town center has bus station [guess 400 yd walk.]
This will cut out city routes. Parky's cuts across some major Rds.
There are bus stops closer, but I don't know routes.
