Brentford  4  Man. Utd.  0

Former United midfielder Robbie Savage, speaking on 5 Live, added: "How many more times will these players cost Manchester United managers their jobs?

"The recruitment has not been good enough over the last 10 years. Look at the centre forwards they have signed - [Edinson] Cavani, [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, Falcao, [Odion] Ighalo. Now they're linked with Arnautovic. Where is the recruitment process?"

Now look everybody, stop getting so upset. A relegation battle (and it’s interesting to see this being spoken about in public at such an early stage) can be very absorbing; believe me, I know all about this from the days when City used to appoint the likes of Alan Ball to the manager’s hot seat. A season or two in the lower divisions would certainly sort out the wheat from the chaff so far as their supporters are concerned. I remain to be convinced that the Rags could count on the same degree of loyalty from their followers that the Blues were blessed with back in the day. There might be a shortage of accents from Devonshire and the Irish Republic on alternate Saturdays in the city centre, if the ‘worst’ should come to pass.

The Glazer family are doing a great job, and their appointment of Mr Ten Gallon Hat was a stroke of inspiration, a moment of pure genius. And it’s only the Bin Dippers up next. Just relax and enjoy the ride……

If the media is to be believed Ronaldo is desperate to leave Utd but no clubs want him , so why doesn’t he buy himself out of his contract and repay some of the transfer money ,it’s not like he can’t afford it  ?

What do you mean, no clubs want him? Penzance would be very happy to take him on, and all of his travelling expenses would be covered upon the production of valid receipts. Of course, he might have relocate to Camborne or somewhere similar but, hey, we all have to make sacrifices, do we not?
