The Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla will take place on Saturday, May 6.

The ceremony will be held at Westminster Abbey at 11am, with around 2,000 invited guests in attendance. Processions through the streets of London will be held as they make their way from Buckingham Palace to the historic venue and then back again, with thousands of spectators expected to turn out to catch a glimpse of the King and Queen.

A Coronation Concert will be held in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Sunday, May 7, with acts set to perform including Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Take That.



Brits are being encouraged to hold street parties over the weekend to celebrate the special event, while an extra Bank Holiday has been granted on Monday, May 8 to mark the occasion.

I wouldn't hold my breath Parky, but we'll see.  I suspect it will be a case of "normal service will resume" with regards to policing now that the coronation is over.
