Yes,  the Melbourne Cup is another big event,  been there yourself?


I expect all the rowdiness happens after the events finish,  but still it must spoil the memories.

No, I haven't been. I'm not a big fan of horse racing compounded by the fact that at the only horse race I attended, which was in a country area north of Kalgoorlie, one horse fell and was put down if full sight of the crowd.


Yes the rowdiness does take place mostly later in the day and is always good for the media coverage!

I quite agree,  I'm not an avid fan and I'm not keen on crowds.  Perhaps if they gave everyone a limited drinks voucher with their ticket it would avoid all the shambles at the end.


Horses legs look so fragile,  must have been very distressing. :(
