Another tower... and another old building set for the bulldozers - is Manchester losing its soul?

I think that the answer is yes.  ???

I was looking at the high-rise buildings in New York on TV yesterday,  too much,  I hope Manchester or any of our big cities don't get like that,  there's no room for decent architecture and tbh anything above six levels is claustrophobic and a tad dangerous imo.

i.m.o. Seeing the sun and sitting in it even for small periods is healing the body and spirit.
When a building throws another into permanent shadow,it is wrong.
I myself have a battle ahead,as next door said they want to build an extension, which would take away the light from a room.

Whoa, hold on!

A retail outlet where a wife could spend the entire family budget for a month on clothes she is rarely (if ever) going to wear has gone the way of the Dodo?

That’s……erm…….terrible…….

Thank goodness fewer people smoke nowadays or literally your life would be in the hands of people who live below you.

Parky, my wife once went to River Island in Chester and spent thirty quid on a top she fancied. As soon as we got back to my parents house she declared that she didn’t like it and would most likely never wear it. Going to a branch of the retail outlet and getting a refund was out of the question, of course, because she might somehow or other “change her mind”.
