Incredibly, a campaign has begun to raise funds for an appeal on behalf of Lucy Letby. It is in its embryonic stages at present, but it appears to be gathering some kind of momentum. It claims that her conviction might be “the greatest miscarriage of justice in the whole of British history”.
I have said before, with genuine sincerity, that nothing could possibly surprise me any more following the events of these last few years. But if this conviction turned out to be unsafe then, I must admit, even I would be reeling in shock and amazement.
