People care about their taxes which are going towards their upkeep, they do have an enormous following - and some media sycophants, we cannot repeat the names of those who were named but I was correct in one of them.
The interest in the Royal family never stops especially abroad, the tourists make up the money paid I guess, and I like tradition, otherwise we would be a small insignificant country, the Royals add colour and are read the world over.
The snag is they seem to marry ordinary people these days, I prefer the times when they chose consorts from other countries, much more interesting - imo
