I don't pay anything by Direct Debit as it's easy to get overdrawn.

Three former Harrods employees have accused Mohamed Al Fayed's only surviving brother of sexually assaulting them while they were working for the department store.
Speaking publicly for the first time, the women say Ali Fayed, 82, assaulted them in the 1990s when he and his brothers, Mohamed and Salah, owned and ran Harrods. A spokesperson for Mr Fayed, who lives in the US, said the businessman "will not be scapegoated" and he "unequivocally denies any and all the allegations of wrongdoing" and that "the incidents simply never took place".

It's beginning to look like The Don was not merely grandstanding to shock other local players into action with his proposals about Gaza. It is becoming more intriguing with every passing day.

Five Thai farm workers released by Hamas in Gaza last month have arrived home in Bangkok, after spending nearly 500 days in captivity.
Pongsak Thaenna, Sathian Suwannakham, Watchara Sriaoun, Bannawat Saethao and Surasak Lamnao had all been working in southern Israel when they were kidnapped during the attacks by Hamas on 7 October 2023.
There were emotional scenes on Sunday morning as the five men were embraced by tearful relatives at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport's arrivals hall.
"I don't know how to put it into words," released hostage Mr Pongsak said.

"I'd like to thank all the officials who were involved in helping us out until we're standing here.
"We wouldn't be here without you helping us. We're very touched and very glad to have returned to our homeland. I am truly grateful."
Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa said it was "very inspiring" to witness their return following their release on 30 January.

Gazans (peaceloving ones)  should have a say,  don't want 1948 all oer again.

They had a say back in 1948, contrary to popular legend. The sparse population of that area back then had the option to remain and become part of a thriving modern economy and a State based entirely upon sound principles of justice, law and order. More than half of them decided to exercise that option, and they and their descendants enjoy a standard of living that is the envy of millions of others in the Arab world. Arab Israelis form a vitally important part of civic life all over the country, and their political interests are well represented in the Knesset.

Just don't expect the legacy media to acknowledge any of that. Just don't ....

President Donald Trump has said he will announce a 25% import tax on all steel and aluminium entering the US, a move that will have the biggest impact in Canada.
Trump also said that there would be an announcement later in the week about reciprocal tariffs on all countries that tax imports from the US, but he did not specify which nations would be targeted, or if there would be any exemptions.
"If they charge us, we charge them," Trump said.
The move marks another escalation Trump's trade policy, which has already sparked retaliation from China.

Former patients at Scotland's biggest children's psychiatric hospital have spoken out about a culture of cruelty among nursing staff.
Patients who were teenagers when they were admitted to Skye House, a specialist NHS unit in Glasgow, told BBC Disclosure some nurses called them "pathetic" and "disgusting" - and even mocked their suicide attempts.
"It was almost as if I was getting treated like an animal," one young patient, being treated for anorexia, said.
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde said it was "incredibly sorry" and has launched two inquiries into the allegations uncovered by the BBC's investigation.

Programme-makers spoke to 28 former patients while making BBC Disclosure's Kids on The Psychiatric Ward documentary.

What makes this detritus choose nursing as a career?  Could it be the power over people who are dependent on care?

The authorities have a duty of care and should be responsible for employing decent staff,  it is being inestigated but only due to the BBC
investigations.

Shameful.
