The sovereignty of the Falkland Islands will not be up for discussion as long as they want to remain a British territory, Lord Cameron has said.

The foreign secretary is preparing to make the first visit to the islands by a cabinet minister since 2016.

Last month Argentina's President Javier Milei called for the islands in the South Atlantic Ocean to be handed over.

The trip comes ahead of a summit of the foreign ministers of the G20 countries, which include Argentina and the UK.

Lord Cameron reiterated the UK government's longstanding position the islands' sovereignty is non-negotiable while its residents wish it to be British.

Speaking ahead of the trip, he said: "The Falkland Islands are a valued part of the British family, and we are clear that as long as they want to remain part of the family, the issue of sovereignty will not be up for discussion.

"The Falkland Islanders should be proud of the modern, prosperous community they have built."

Israeli war cabinet member Benny Gantz has warned that unless Hamas frees all hostages held in Gaza by 10 March an offensive will be launched in Rafah.

It is the first time Israel has said when its troops might enter Gaza's overcrowded southern city.

Global opposition is growing to such an attack in Rafah, where some 1.5 million Palestinians are sheltering.

Earlier, the UN public health agency said a key Gaza hospital had ceased to function following an Israeli raid.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said it had not been allowed to enter Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis, north of Rafah, to assess the situation.

The UN and the rest of the Globalist mafia can spout all the bulls hit they like, but their dark propaganda is going to make not a jot of difference to Israel. It always takes the Left a long time to catch up with whatever is going on around them but, in fairness to them, most of the outside world have simply failed to grasp the massive sea-change in the attitude of the Israeli general public since the much celebrated (by some) massacre on October 10th. Absolutely nobody other than the most brain damaged socialist will even contemplate tolerating the existence of Hamas and its baying supporters any longer. This collection of savages will be removed from the face of the Earth, along with its massed ranks of enablers who have propped up its existence for such a very long time.

And about time, too.

Tel Aviv protesters call on Netanyahu to resignClose

Protesters angry with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have taken to the streets of Tel Aviv to demand fresh elections.
While anti-government protests declined in the wake of the 7 October attacks, Mr Netanyahu's popularity has fallen as the fighting goes on.
Mass protests were regularly held throughout 2023 demanding his resignation - fuelled by opposition to controversial judicial reforms. Mr Netanyahu is now also under pressure over the fate of the dozens of hostages taken from Israel by Hamas fighters on 7 October and held in Gaza.
More than 1,200 people were killed when Hamas attacked Israel, sparking the ongoing war.
The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza says more than 28,800 people have been killed.

28,800 have been killed in Gaza, according to the highly trustworthy source of the Hamas PR agency (formerly known as the mainstream media).

If only it was true, and if only that figure was twenty times higher! It is about as believable as the [censored] figures the Left often like to quote about the number of people who perished in those wonderful air raids on Dresden back in February ‘45. German records, meticulously compiled and checked, show that almost 30,000 people perished in the firestorm, many of whom were German soldiers on their way to the Eastern Front or transport workers who were supplying German soldiers at the Eastern Front. But the self-loathing Left like to claim a total well into six figures.

    Oh, well. 😵‍💫

Sir Lindsay Hoyle is to hold talks with party leaders after Wednesday's debate on a call for a ceasefire in Gaza descended into chaos
  • More than 30 MPs have signed a motion of no confidence in Sir Lindsay because he broke with convention to allow a vote on a Labour amendment to a SNP proposal.
  • The Speaker, who must remain politically impartial at all times, faced accusations that he'd allowed Labour to "hijack" the proceedings - and later apologised.
  • MPs approved a Labour Party call for an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire" following hours of debate which saw SNP MPs walk out of the Commons
  • The call was an amendment to a motion put forward by the SNP seeking an immediate ceasefire in Gaza

Why are they meddling in the affairs of the Israeli government?
This country has fell to pieces and these charlatans are more concerned with the actions of a foreign government who have a legitimate right to strike back, with impunity imo, against the murderous savages and their supporters that planned and executed the cowardly attack on October 7th.
Let the IDF take whatever measures necessary to eliminate these criminals because this hatred doesn't end with the Jews, look at what the islamists are doing to Christians in Nigeria.

U.N. & U.S.  are trying to resolve the situation because of the number of civiiians - both sides, who have been killed,  in the name of humanity people are starving,  little chidren - a child who only wants bread.

Israel aren't going to attack U.S. aircraft which could drop food supplies on Rafah and other areas of Gaza.

King Charles has been cheered up by some of the 7,000 cards of support sent to him during his cancer treatment, including those taking a humorou

They included a card with a picture of a dog wearing a protective cone saying: "At least you don't have to wear a cone!"

Other messages shared people's own experiences of cancer and wished the King a "speedy recovery".
