Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden, Labour's Lisa Nandy and Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey are appearing on Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg this week
  • .
  • [Dowden would not be drawn on whether he thought the comments were Islamophobic. Anderson would have kept his role if he apologised, Dowden says.
  • He tells Kuenssberg that he doesn't think Lee Anderson wanted to be Islamophobic - but adds that "words matter... he didn't choose his words correctly"
  • Sir Ed Davey, meanwhile, says he should have said sorry earlier for his role in the Post Office scandal - Davey declined a meeting with sub-postmaster Alan Bates in 2010.

Lee just told the truth, it's not a very popular concept these days, looking at the people who are losing their [censored] over it goes some way to proving his point.

In certain places at certain times, just staying alive is something for a boy to be proud of - let alone going out every day to find the food that keeps your family from starving.

Every morning, Mohammed Zo'rab, 11, goes out into the southern Gaza city of Rafah on a mission.

He takes a big plastic bowl and heads to schools that have become refugee centres, and to makeshift camps on the roadside where people suffer like his own family but might still find something to feed the child of strangers.

Mohammed also goes to hospitals where the wounded arrive at all hours, and anywhere else where there might be a pot boiling over an open fire.

"When I go back to my family with this food, they get happy and we all eat together," he says.

"Sometimes I go empty handed and I feel sad."

Mohammed is the eldest of four children and lives with his mother, father and his siblings in a flimsy shelter made of plastic and tarpaulin.

His father, Khaled, roams around Rafah looking for odd jobs to raise five shekels (about $1.38; £1.08) to buy diapers for their two-month-old daughter, Howaida.

Appalling charities the United Nations Unicef should call on the USA to get urgent food supplies in  immediately

airdrop the food supplies,  Israel won't bomb U.S. aircraft.  This isn't taking sides.

No. Wipe them off the face of the Earth. Any "humanitarian" supplies dropped on these pigs hit thick stone age throwbacks will be seized by Hamas to feed their lethally dangerous terrorists, and they will be cheered on by their burka clad women who are quite at ease with the prospect of their own children starving to death if just one Israeli can be brutally murdered.

I wonder if Left are aware of the fact that more than 12 per cent of Israel's population are Muslims? They enjoy a standard of living far in excess of their fellow co-religionists in any other part of the Middle East. They actively participate in the lives of their communities, they are represented by their own MP's in the Knesset, and they are fiercely patriotic and proud to be Israelis. Some of them, in numbers that are steadily increasing, even enlist in the IDF.

No, I don't suppose they are.....

US President Joe Biden has said he hopes to have a ceasefire "by next Monday" in the Israel-Gaza war.

His comments come amid reports of some progress reached in ongoing negotiations involving Israel and Hamas representatives in Qatar.

"My national security advisor tells me that we're close," Mr Biden said.

Israel launched a large-scale air and ground campaign in Gaza after Hamas gunmen killed about 1,200 people in southern Israel on 7 October.

The attackers also took 253 people hostage, a number of whom have since been released.

The Hamas-run health ministry in the Gaza Strip says at least 29,782 people have been killed in the territory since then, including 90 on Sunday alone.

President Biden, whose country is Israel's main ally, was speaking to reporters in New York City about the possible ceasefire.

In the meantime drop some food and blankets on Rafah if they can.

Schools could train young male influencers to counter internet 'misogynists' like Andrew Tate under Labour plans

I certainly wouldn't want my child brainwashed by another that has been programmed by some slimy Labour activist 'teacher'.
isn't it the parents job to teach their own children to be proper?, or do the commies think they can do a better job.  :-\

  • I have just followed the link regarding the man who supposedly lost "103 relatives" in a piece of spectacular good shooting by the IDF. It is precisely the kind of pro-terrorist bulls hit you would expect to see in the legacy media these days, with the BBC being the worst offender.

I hope nobody is taken in by this nonsense. If they are, please let me make an announcement; I have invented a brilliant device that will turn soil into solid 24 caret gold, but I need some investors to plough money into it to get it up and running....

    Another BBC nonce.

Daniel Frogson, who starred in BBC’s His Dark Materials and was nominated for a BAFTA for his role in Joe All Alone, has been found guilty of downloading almost 850 abuse images involving children as young as three.

The 21-year-old had been viewing the pictures since he was 17 and Nottingham Crown Court heard how police found 165 images of the most serious category.

It's news but the BBC isn't reporting about on their website ATM.

A power company that has received £6bn in UK green subsidies has kept burning wood from some of the world's most precious forests, the BBC has found.

Papers obtained by Panorama show Drax took timber from rare forests in Canada it had claimed were "no go areas".

It comes as the government decides whether to give the firm's Yorkshire site billions more in environmental subsidies funded by energy bill payers.

Drax says its wood pellets are "sustainable and legally harvested".

The Drax Power Station, near Selby in North Yorkshire, is a converted coal plant which burns wood pellets. In 2023, it produced about 5% of the UK's electricity. The site has become a key part of the government's drive to meet its climate targets.

Its owner, Drax, receives money from energy bill payers because the electricity produced from burning pellets is classified as renewable and treated as emission-free.
