Should Labour return to power today, Britain looks set to be remade – once again – in the image of our deranged cultural elites. Brace yourselves for a fight. But don’t despair, either. Ordinary people are the bulwark against the insanity of the elites. And as the past decade has taught us – and Reform UK’s surge in this election reminds us – a populist revolt is never far away.

Keir Starmer is not an ideologue. He is bereft of ideas, let alone an ideology. But the empty vessel needs to be filled by something. And it’s clear it will be filled by wokeism, greenism, unabashed technocracy – all of the worst ideas of our age, desperately clung to by Starmer and his ilk, even though they can’t always articulate why.

"Multiple political parties that have a shared vision which tends to uphold the same powerful elite regardless of party affiliation."

  Sounds pretty accurate to me.

Labor win as forcast, turnout down, ditto,as they bathe in the glory a look at the Truss result tells a different story .   Reform, the Elephant in the room, did as promised taking the Tory votes and this in a safe seat.
TV Pundits ignored this National movement, because Reform did'nt win the expected number of seats, even though the Leaders did.
Lib dems did well, but dancing about wo'nt make a bit of difference in a massive majority Parliament.

This is likely to be the worst Conservative result in terms of seats in history, with the party winning as few as 122 seats. It is also likely to be the highest Lib Dem tally since 1923 with the parts
The SNP is forecast to end the night on 10 seats. Reform UK and Plaid Cymru and the Green Party.]
Other parties, including those in Northern Ireland, are forecast to get 23 seats
Labour's vote share is up by less than 2% but the Conservatives have seen their vote share fall by about 20%
The BBC is predicting that turnout will be 60% across the UK as a whole. This will be the second lowest turnout ever in a UK election since 1885, with only 2001 being lower at 5

Reform came second in my area,a safe Labour seat and 800 more votes would have seen off the sitting front bencher. Hows that for a first election try.

It's just dawning on the Tories that Sanook was a bad leader.
