Reform a very close 3rd,a hundred or so more votes and they would have been second to Labour who won Blackpool South.
Starmer and Rayner just had to showboat at a Blackpool gathering of the faithful.

It's a protest vote,  bring parties down to earth,  but Manchester will always be Labour,  does that really bother folks?

Remember when the London mayor was due to come to Manchester and the pandemic stopped him?
Wonder if he was coming to discuss this with Andy Burnham - if there's another visit being arranged,  please someone alert us.

Lot of hot air about gains and losses, little info on present and past turnout. Some only 24%. What turnout is expected for the General, where change is the prize.

In the mayoral election the turnout was only 32% (down on 2021). Burnhams total votes were also down over 2021. 2,088,644 were eligible to vote, yet only 420,749 voted for Burnham; this equates to roughly 20% of those eligible to vote. Hardly an' emphatic' show of his popularity.

Mothin Ali, newly elected to Leeds City Council for the Green party, punched his fist in the air and, to the delight of his supporters, yelled: ‘We will raise the voice of Gaza, we will raise the voice of Palestine. Allahu Akbar!’
Palestine, rather than council tax, children’s services or bin collections, got him elected. The most cursory glance at the results shows Labour’s vote collapsing in areas with large Muslim electorates, notably Bradford, Blackburn and Oldham.

Well, that may be the case, or it may not. In my humble opinion I honestly have no faith in the electoral process any longer, and I do not believe that any declared election results are in any way genuine. The declared "winner" is always the person most favoured by the WEF and their regional managers...oops, I mean the Government....here in the UK.

Rishi Sunak is a dead prime minister walking, heading for a heavy defeat in the coming UK General Election. The anti-Tory media celebrated with gleeful headlines about the Tories being ‘crushed’ and ‘desperate’.

But look behind the other blowhard headlines about ‘Stunning Labour triumphs’, and this week’s election results also confirmed a less-discussed truth about the Labour Party that many of us have long suspected. Sir Keir Starmer may well be Britain’s prime minister-in-waiting, but few people outside the cliques of Labour apparatchiks and loyalists are waiting for him to take power with any enthusiasm or excitement. Instead, Starmer looks increasingly like the PM-in-waiting who nobody really wants.

Rishi Sunak will be delighted to give up his role of pretending to be Britain's Prime Minister. He is one of the richest men in the world, his credit score with the WEF will have gone up immeasurably following his participation in this country's destruction, and he has far bigger fish to fry once he has moved on.

Seriously, nobody truly imagines that Sunak wishes to win the General Election, do they? He is thoroughly bored with the whole charade by now. If, by some miracle of fate, he found himself still in Downing Street after "the nation has delivered its verdict" 😅 he would resign his position and spark a leadership contest within weeks, possibly even within days.
