Russia and China have vetoed a US draft resolution that tied an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to the release of hostages held by Hamas
  • It was the first time the US has supported calls for an immediate ceasefire in the region, having previously blocked such demands at the UN
  • Netanyahu says Israel plans to launch a ground offensive in Rafah with or without US support, as he meets the US secretary of state Antony Blinken in Israel
  • But Blinken, who is in the Middle East to discuss a post-war plan to govern and secure Gaza, says a ground operation in Rafah risks killing more civilians
  • A UN-backed food security assessment this week said 1.1 million people in Gaza were struggling with catastrophic hunger and starvation
  • Hamas attacked Israel on 7 October, killing about 1,200 people and taking 253 others hostage
  • Hamas says more than 31,900 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched its retaliatory offensive to eliminate Hamas.
  • All that's necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing

The UN’s Halving of the Gaza Civilian Death Toll Means the Case Against Israel Has Just Collapsed
BY WILL JONES 19 MAY 2024 9:00 AM

The recent halving of the Gaza civilian death toll by the UN should be the moment that the case against Israel’s ‘genocide’ goes into terminal collapse, argues Jake Wallis Simons in the Telegraph. Here’s an excerpt.

From now on, there can be no equivocation. Those who persist in opposing the war based on the number of civilian casualties are either ignorant or arguing in bad faith. Or both.

Earlier this month, the United Nations halved its assessment of the numbers of women and children killed in Gaza. Then: 9,500 women and 14,500 children dead. Now: 4,959 women and 7,797 children. In a further seven months’ time, perhaps another few thousand will be resurrected. …

Do those sanctimonious UN officials not realise how ridiculous they look? Have they forgotten how war works? Two decades after our invasion of Iraq, death tolls remain intensely disputed, ranging enormously from 100,000 to 600,000. Yet we’re expected to believe that Hamas, as it squats underground with its Jewish sex slaves, has the professionalism to provide statistics within hours, reliable to the single digit.

Statisticians have debunked the data. Yet the narrative remains unchanged, even by President Biden. Clearly, the sheer volume of the footage of suffering civilians – all projected by Hamas, which censors pictures of dead or wounded combatants – has caused us to lose our minds. When we fought in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, nobody debated civilian casualties. Yet when it comes to Israel, it’s all anybody talks about. We are being played.

This is why Gazan civilians are barred from the safety of the tunnels, even though the whole population would fit inside them. This is why they do not have a single air raid shelter. Hamas’s leaders have been doing their best to get their people killed on camera, then fabricated the figures. They have been doing so to brainwash the international media, political leaders, celebrities and the protesters on our streets, to believe the lie of Israeli ‘genocide’. They want Jerusalem to be pressured to stop the war, leaving them to plot the next act of savagery.

Sadly,  I can understand why Egypt,  Jordan and other Arab countries don't want refugees,  they don't want to be embroiled in this war.
America may lose patience with Iran and try and eliminate their leaders if they keep supplying weapons to Hamas,  we don't want another 'Iraq'.

Celeste, I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but Egypt and Jordan and the other Arab countries don’t want them because they are utter vermin who cause nothing but serious trouble wherever they go. They have not wanted them for more years than you and I care to remember. It has got nothing to do with becoming embroiled in Israel’s war against Hamas. It goes back way, way further than that.

The ICC ruling means that Israeli and Hamas leaders can be arrested if they visit a country where the court has the power.
A KC explained the ICC was set up to protect civilians in wartime, due to the casualties in the 2 World Wars.
The court ruled that ,The Israeli settlers acted illegally in 2004 and the Israeli Gov. ignored it.

That’s actually rather tame compared to what these sexually dysfunctional Nancy boys are capable of getting up to. On October 7th they chopped the heads off children, including babies, and they were throwing them around to each other in a macabre game of ‘Catch’. Such fun! LOL!!

Still, Israel must learn to take it on the chin, eh?

SCL beside that ,on X is footage of ,supposedly same girls dancing in army uniform.
I suppose the footage is off their phones.
This is misleading because they were[girls] taken from a festival and also does'nt the country have conscription,ie no choice?.

Festivals,  residential areas,  schools should be as far away as necessary from Hamas military/missiles - they never should have been able to drive in and take hostages.
