Polls suggest nearly 50% are split between dont know or dont care.
Politicians and nappies must be changed often, and for the same reason

Could be they don't want more of the same,  especially if 'no money' is used as an excuse.

The money is for 'net zero' and 'Ukraine', housing dinghy divers etc. and the next government knows how to tax and waste money.

Housing dinghy divers?   They should be in court and questioned on the operations in France.

I was not aware that "The Monster Raving Loony Party" was still with us but Googling I found they are indeed still up and running  - hold on tight to your seat you read their "manicfesto"

https://www.loonyparty.com/3515/8736/manicfesto-for-general-election-2024/

Some of their past policies which were past into law.

1. 24-hour licensing laws
2. Lowering the voting age to 18
3. Abolition of dog licences
4. The legalisation of commercial radio
5. The pedestrianisation of Carnaby Street
6. Passports for pets
7. Abolition of the 11 plus exam

The original conception of the party to draw reality comparisons between deliberately bizarre policies with the aim to satirise British politics - was effectively protest voting.

...and yet i see some actual serious policy suggestions in today's world quite insane - there must be a link?

There’s just three days to go until this general election campaign draws to a close and the fate of Britain’s leading politicians passes to the voters.

This is not a moment where the scope of the campaign suddenly widens. Instead it narrows as the parties - especially the two main parties - hone in on the core messages they hope will appeal to the crucial slices of the British public they need to win.

If you hear Rishi Sunak or Sir Keir Starmer say something today, expect to hear them say it tomorrow and on Wednesday too. This is not a time for variation but for repetition.
So what are those messages? Well, Mr Sunak believes he will still be prime minister by the end of the week. At least that’s what he told Laura Kuenssberg yesterday.
