Let's be honest, nobody goes to the Notting Hill Carnage....whoops, I mean 'Carnival'.....for the purpose of having a good time. People go there to sell or obtain illegal drugs, or to indulge in a spot of serious violence that might well include gratuitous sexual assault. It should have been banned many years ago.
How can it be a celebration if shops and other local businesses have to close for two days, and spend precious time and money boarding up their premises?
