Not sure about other high street stores, but Dabs and EBuyer are pretty good value. I bought my laptop a year or so ago from Currys but used a voucher and got cashback through a website called RPoints.

I'd recomend dabs too, I use them loads and price is generally good, but don't pay extra for overnight delivery tho, as their standard delivery arrives next day anyway.

I need to buy a laptop for a friend, I haven't owned or used one myself, any advice for a sensible choice that can access external 'hot spot' wireless signals ?? as well as BT home WIFI ??

My laptop is Zoostream, and with Wireless I have a charger enabling me to move it around the house and in the garden
