I do believe OS maps utilise for distance calculation purposes, mileage etc...St Anns Church for Manchester and the Charing Cross monument/statue for London as the 'official centres.'
Liverpool?

Alas, their beloved shell suit warehouse was accidently destroyed in the Curly Perm Riots of 2007.
Site rebuilt recently with the Giro Worship Hall on ramraid street in Scroungefields.

I wanted to see that building but they wouldn't let me in because I didn't have a droopy 'tache. I was furious and all they could say was 'calm down'.

LOL.
I'd really like to try that however I'm very attached to the wheels on my car as it wouldn't go as fast on bricks.

Grub St cutting. Shropshire Union Canal. Staffordshire.
At one time, the canal had a telegraph line running along its bank and the strengthening arch has been used as a convenient sitting point for a very short telegraph pole. Although the other poles have now been removed (traces may be still found along the towpath), this one has been left as a curiosity.

...is the correct answer
Grub Street is a small village in Staffordshire, the A512 road-carrying bridge is called 'High Bridge' 12.2 metres above the waterway and the cutting was constructed in 1832, engineer Thos., Telford
