The multi award winning Off Broadway play Dog Sees God Confessions Of A Teenage Blockhead is getting its 1st UK production right here in Manchester by Vertigo Theatre Productions.

The show opens on the 27th till the 29th of march at Taurus Bar on canal street at 8pm each night.
The show has sold out for Saturday night already and only have 14 tickets left for Thursday and Friday night (the show is expected to add an extra performance on though due to public demand)

The show is a parody of the iconic comic strip and tv show Peanuts and focuses on Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, Linus and the rest of the gang now they are teenagers and hormones are running riot.

When CB’s(Charlie Browns) dog dies from rabies,(a certain beagle we all know and love) CB begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his sister has gone goth; his ex-girlfriend has recently been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give him any sort of solace. But a chance reunion with a certain piano playing childhood friend , the target of this group’s bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that’s both haunting and hopeful.
If you are a fan of Peanuts or have never seen it before, there is something in this play for everyone who likes to laugh

The kids from peanuts enter the world of teenagers......Oh Dear

“Good grief! The Peanuts kids have finally come out of their shells.”
—Time Out.

“Inventive and raunchy…hysterically funny.” —NY Post
