Quarter Sessions were Court sessions held four times a year in each County and County Borough. I am not likely to get married, although I did see a lovely girl in 'Budgens' today !!

...it came and went like a gazelle in a clearing !!

I was in the queue at 'Budgens' at the time - I had my hands full of condiments I couldn't scuttle them and scarper !!
