cannot articulate clearly on some sounds, otherwise can operate things like dvd player, video, T.V. stereo, - points out things I forget, can do more than he lets on like needing help with eating, understands everything, but he is good company, and we go for pub lunches, I wouldn't dream of going in a pub on my own, but with him I feel comfortable, can go to the cinema with him, I would never go on my own, get taken everywhere by Greater Manchester Transport for peanuts - door to door, and my other son lives with us and helps if I want to go out in the evening, so lots of advantages, ie don't pay council tax neither of us, also no mortgage either, house paid for, as a carer I don't pay for a ticket at the cinema although he does (probably to encourage carers to take the people they care for out often)
