Could some one please tell me what was full age for marriage in 1883 was? I am looking for a turner family, My grandfather James Turner born 1887 I have his birth certificate born 3 Allianee st Mancheater, his mother Sarah TURNER no father listed, he lived with his auntie Martha SLEE (Nee Turner) she married Evan Evans SLEE 1.4.1883 both full age at the age of 6 James Turner was sent to the Swinton pool law school, his auntie Martha was the one to take him there and said James Turner was Illegitimate son of Sarah Turner in June 1901 another auntie took him out by the name of Emma Taylor, in the 1901 census both Martha Slee (Born Mancheater) and Emma Taylor (Born Manchester 1847) lived at 6 old st Manchester both said to be widowed , there was also a George Taylor. my grandfather some times used the name Taylor. I have Martha Slee death certificate that said she died 1912 Robinson st Middleton age 47 years would be born 1865 and the informant was Alice Kelly a sister but in one census the borth age worked out to be 1860 . so what I come up with is Sarah Turner (no dates of any kind), Martha Turner, and Alice Kelly Nee Turner (no dates of any kind) all sisters. I don't think Emma was a Turner as I don't find any Emma Turner married to a Taylor so this woman could be from his fathers side of the family?? The other thing I found was Martha was said to be a widow in the 1901 census and on her death certificate but I found Evan Evans Slee died 1914 not a name you can mix up??? and I found no Slee children. So we don't go over the same ground 1871 census there is a Turner family with Alice, Martha and Sarah in it but this is not the one (RG10-4041-14-22) if any one could help me I would be most thankfull I live in Australia and on line info is hard to get.
