Hi - I'm new to the forum. Does anyone remember the name of the C.W.S. retail outlet on Deansgate in the1960's. It had a self-service cafe as, I remember, on the top floor. Sold household goods,records etc.

If no one can recall the name of the Deansgate outlet it might be mentioned in "The Story of the C.W. S. The Jubillee History of the Cooperative Wholesale Society, Limited. 1863-1913" by Percy Redfern. On second thoughts an updated version of the book might be a better idea
