Does anyone know what happened to Jeff Mudd?  He apparently married my BFF Hazel Dixon.  I lost touch when I emigrated to Canada and have often wondered what they did after he left the group for his National Service. If any info. it would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Valerie,

I am Jeff and Hazel's Granddaughter, Jeff did indeed marry Hazel. They eventually moved to Cornwall to raise their 3 children where they ran several pub's within the area.

Cheers

I know I am late contributing to this discussion, but just came across it on the net. If anyone is interested, I have several photos of The Mudlarks when Dave was in the group.  I was a huge fan of The Mudlarks and ran the Sheffield branch of their fan club.  The photos were taken at parties arranged by The Star Newspaper  to enable fans to meet Stars visiting Sheffield.

Hi,I am new to the forum.
I grew up with David Burgess (Lane) in the 40s & 50s,we were in the same class at school.St James's CofE
School in Collyhurst.
We used to keep Pigeons together as kids and I have kept them ever since as Dave did till he died.
He used to sing in the Minstrels at Hugh Oldham Lads Club on Livsey Street Collyhurst in the early 50s.
I went to his funeral in Duckinfield and spoke to his wife Mary but I don't think she remembered me.
Had some great times with Dave, but sadly lost touch with him in the late 70s early 80s.
Lifelong friend sadly missed.RIP Mate.
From Bill Dale.

Hello,  I remember Mrs Burgess, David Lane's mother.  We lived in Central Drive, Collyhurst and Mrs Burgess was our neighbour.  I went to St James Church of England school, but I cannot remember David Lane at school as I was a few years younger than him.  This is what I remember, Mrs Burgess had a serious operation.  I was a teenager of about 14 or 15 years and I used to go to Browns club in Moston.  One day I was waiting at the bus stop and David pulled up and gave me a lift, I cannot remember if it was going to Browns club or coming home.   I just remember being stunned that David, a gorgeous pop star gave me a lift.  He must have been about 20 maybe, I don't know.  A lovely man and memory.  By the way, I loved my childhood in Central Drive - kids had a wonderful time playing together.  I remember playing rounders with all the kids in the drive.  Christina
