PENDLE HILL OM HALLOWEEN
« on: 13:39:24, 09/10/08 »
I went to pendle hill years ago on the night of the witches return halloween,, wow dunno if they still do this but we had a ball, even tho we got lost due to the fog,

we parked our bikes at the pub lite up like blackpool, and from there we could see 9 or 10 driuds walking up the side of the hill with touches flaming away. if the moon had been full would have made a great piccy out of  a hammor horror film. the fog came down so bad it took us 2 hours to find the pub our bikes were at pitch black up there.

the driuds i was told head to the witches graves and in a circle round em chant , hundreds go up or they did then in the hope of a witches return.

if u like spooks  head to pendle hill,,,,,,, on the night of the living dead
. what a pity i cant add sound on here. hehehe

Scary,  I bet you were braver then than you are now,  I would be afraid of spirits latching on to me and following me home :o

There's a pub on Deansgate, Bradleys I think, it was featured on Most Haunted, and Derek Acorah 'morphed' into this weirdo,  'he' kept saying 'this is mine' and telling them all to get out - Derek collapsed on the floor and had to be 'revived'by the camera crew.

The haunted area is not part of the public bar, I think it's up two flights of stairs in an attic.

Nahh... it was just his goings-on when he used to be on "Most Haunted Live" on UK Living.  Guy just made my skin crawl with his acting.  :(  The program itself is entertaining enough though... good light comedy.  I still reckon that if ... one day.... some spirit did genuinely levitate a table on a live transmission.... we still wouldnt see it cos the whole lots of them wouldnt be seen for dust scrambling for the exit  ;D

Umm?? Speaking of Pendle Hill... as I was typin this just seen an advert on telly for "Pendle Witches Brew"  .... guess its a special edition beer from some brewery... darn missed the beginning but reminded me of a Boddies advert.  :-\

I wonder what would have happened if the Druids had seen them, could they have got so caught up with their chanting that they may have done away with them,  never to have been seen again. :o

I know the Druids go to Stonehenge at the summer solstice (William Roache is one isn't he?)

I read an interview by Bill Roache, yes  he did say he was a Druid, don't know about his wife Sarah and the rest of his family though.

If I come across anyone I don't like I always say 'I didn't expect to see you until the end of October' :D

me too, it's getting nearer I usually get a lot of kids round dressed up appropriately, and usually give them a choice of crisps or biscuits.

This year I'm going to give them a tombola and get rid of all my McDonalds toys that came free with the Children's meals. O0
