A number of bronze plaques were stolen from the War Memorial in Phillips Park Cemetery shortly after 3.30pm on Saturday 1st November. See The Missing List website for details

Philips Park Cemetery was Manchester’s first municipal public cemetery when it opened in 1866, though work was in fact not completed on its grounds and structures until 1867.
