I traced my family tree back to a place called Down Patrick At least it made me feel better
We could have originated from Up Patrick and that would have not been accepted in a male bastion like the Mountain Diggers club near to my place hahahahaha

Downpatrick's in Co. Down about ten or twelve miles from where I live. St  Patrick is reputedly buried in the grounds of Down Cathedral (C of I). There's a large stone there marking his grave.

I traced my paternal side of the family from England through Wales and Scotland then on to Ireland
My ancestors were farmers in a place called Down Patrick
And i now live in Australia
I think the roaming spirit is alive and well in my family as my eldest son is off to Canada soon
