24 Hour Manchester?
« on: 22:59:23, 12/10/06 »
We're coming to Manchester to Three Chairs (part of The Warehouse Project taking place at the old Boddingtons Brewery) on Saturday, travelling from London. To our dismay we realise that the event finishes at 4.30am and our coach doesn't leave until 10am - ouch! Does anyone know of any 'nice' places we could go to chill while waiting for our coach? Thanks in advance, Jojee xx

jojee . . . a skip from Piccadilly is the Gay Village - I'm sure you'll find a nice place to sit and enjoy an early cup of coffee  :)

Chilling out isn’t a problem in Manchester City centre. Just knock a copper’s hat off and you’ll chill out almost immediately, in a nice comfortable cell! You’ll obviously miss the coach back, but Manchester’s a lovely city so you’ll have time to see more of it. The magistrates courts are quite nice, architecturally.

I once was — and a postman for the day. In the old days they used to make good features at Christmas, but you had to do them to make them interesting. You’d be surprised how many different letter-boxes there are — eben in a small town. You’re either bending down or climbing on stilts! I’ve even played the Dame in panto while chasing my career.

It’d be difficult with me being in a wheelchair, but nothing’s impossible.

I don’t ‘sometimes’ work through the night. I work through it every night including Sundays. It’s part of my contract. I’m also opening a shop towards the end of January 2007. Not saying what I’m selling because it’ll be the only shop in Bury and north Manchester to sell this particular product and I don’t want anyone beating me to it.
