I could be wrong but IMHO most people who frequent forums have already found sites that meet their needs so a new forum will possibly find it difficult to attract new members, even little old Ashton under Lyne has a very active discussion group, strange thing though is it's full of ex-pats. Good to see this forum is still active, most close down after a few weeks, best o'luck and give it time and it'll grow  :)

What does 'IMHO' mean? OK...I realise everyone else will be rolling their eyes ::)...but I really don't know!! :)
I think this Forum is good as it does cover the WHOLE of Manchester (now GREATER Manchester) so it does have more scope.
All these 'community' sites are bound to attract 'ex pats' as nostalgia is a place worth re visiting!!

Sue
I never take anything serious on the type forum
I come in here to have a laugh and to stir and be stirred
If people take me serious then they need to go see a doctor as in real life i aint nothing like the geezer i portray as the village idiot
Real life is private and willl remain so
What some person in cyber space thinks is of no concern to me if they have a problem with what i type then that is their problem
Kiwi good to have ya here
I am in colonial land just accross the ditch from NZ
Good to have ya here
Hey kiwi did ya know how NZ got its start in life ??? it was because Tasmanians learnt how to swim
Good health to one and all

Only kidding, I live in Waipawa which is just down the road from Waipukurau (Waikickammoocow) which is down the road a bit from Taumatawhakatangi hangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu, which beats that welsh place by a couple of dozen letters ;D

Originally from Droylsden but left 26 years ago, male, happily living in sin, no kids one dog, drive trucks and enjoy fishing and motorsport, anything else is secret and if I told you I'd have to kill you  :D :D

I will ask this question for Celeste....do you look like Daniel Craig aka the new James Bond? If you answer yes she will come over all unnecessary and not be able to post........ for at least three minutes!! ;D ;D
That long 'Taum etc.' name would have me stumped...I have such a bad memory these days that by the time I'd got it out I'd wonder why I started saying it in the first place.
My uncle lives in New Zealand. He settled there years ago after visiting many times when he was on the cruise ships. It sounds wonderful!!
