does anyone know of available artist workspace in Manchester? i cant seem to find anything bigger than a closet that doesnt cost a fortune.  A basement or storage room would do, i would even be willing to fix up a space if necessary.  Thanks!

Hiya angelag,

Welcome to Manchester Community Forum.

I'm not in Manchester so I don't know the situation there too well but I'm wondering if you could join forces with other artists and crafts people. That way you might get more than a closet and be in better accommodation than a basement or storage room.

I hope you do find something suitable. Post progress reports as I'm sure others will make some suggestions too.

All the Best, Christopher

angelag, if you know anyone who works for an estate agent, tell them what you require. They'll keep an eye open for you then when a suitable property comes on the market they'll let you know.

Thanks for all of the feedback! I have heard of the Craft and Design Centre, however, you have to go through an application procedure and its not really the kind of space i am looking for.  I need more of an unused basement kind of space.  Will keep my eyes open.  Thanks again!
