think I mentioned that they have a cafe etc and book sfor sale. There used to be an old asylum where our docs are and they look after the people who used to inhabit the asylum their not dangerous only'special' I mean that in a nice way not condescending anyway these people find gardening therapeutic and our docs follow Rudolph steiner another esotoric bloke do you know I was quite normal until I moved to maidstone the place has turned me into a rambling nit wit am now studying Steiners meditation exercises

Do any of your literary interests rub off on your other half?
I recall several restaurants stocking books which were available to buy at one time, don't see any nowadays though

Thanks for that, we never know who is living amongst us - I shall photograph it next time I visit Heaton Park.
I live near Brooklands Road in Sale and I was told a famous female pianist lived at Hatton Fold sheltered housing there

Hi. Celeste. unless you are in a car you may not see the "Heaton Park Pic". It's not actually in Heaton park, it's on the wall of the Heaton Park reservoir and is located on Heywood road going towards Simister. You can view it clearly on Google earth where I took this pic from.

Thanks for the photo - is it near the Sainsbury side of Heaton Park?
That car looks an odd shape

No it's the opposite side of Heaton park. It's off Bury Old Rd. you would go past Heaton park and turn RIGHT into Heywood Rd towards Simister village. It's down there on the right. I took the pic off Google earth and the car looks strange because it's in between two Google shots. On the cusp so to speak.

Ah thanks, I have been the other side as well, went in Dennis (Gore) the chemist's shop and I've been in the park a few times, do you live near there?
