I think he was Ebenezer Scrooges busines partner and fellow miser.
The character should be played in a very camp, over-the-top manner - a sort of Dickensian Kenneth Williams . . . "Ooh, woe is me . . . oooooh matron!!!"

Oh it's only Lords
who add a placename. Ken would just be Sir Ken. Lord Dodd of Diddyland sounds good though
