The Central Library in Manchester has a wide range of resources available for those who wish to trace their family history. The Archives and Local Studies section on the first floor is a good place to start your search. There are no microfiche copies of the National Index of Births, Marriages and Deaths available at the Library.
Anyone wishing to look at these on microfiche will need to visit the Greater Manchester County Record Office
at 56, Marshall Street, New Cross.
