I am fine thanks for asking
I would live anywhere as long as i was still breathing Thats probably a better way to put it
You live your life you as best you can
Dont let other peoples views on where you live affect you Remember its only their opinion and at the end of the day who gives a [censored] what some one else in a nice place  thinks about where you live
Example Lymm and Partington
I have lived in both places lovely people in both places
For some unknown geographical reason Partington was given the task of having a huge council estate but does that make it a bad place to live ? it didnt when i was living there
Good health to yas all

I note village_idiots point about cemeteries, however, I find them to be havens of quiet solitude and tranquility.

Don't think I would mind living close to one . . . (I know we're all programmed to move into at some point in our lives).  Let's face it, the neighbours are not likely to give you any bother !!  ;D :o

As it is all Top Secret I won't ask you any questions 8)!! My friend emigrated in 1965 after living in Partington for several years. She was 15 and was the eldest in an all girl family. This is probably before your era. (see - NO questions...I can be discreet!)

Sorry...although I went to Partington a few times I don't even know who or what King Billy is or was!! I did go to a Youth Club?? Dance there once and the group were The Factotums. Favourite song of the night was 'Glad All Over' (Dave Clark Five) We were s'posed to go down to Cadishead and meet some kids off the ferry but never went. Can't remember why..maybe the weather was bad..I think it was around Christmas time.
I know I'm not meant to ask Questions 8)....but would you be of a similar age to my friend??? ???

peterw . . . I think Salford came under the general umbrella of 'Manchester' (10th 'Worst' place to live).

Apparently, Manchesters poor rating is largely down to the run-down housing estates towards the south of the City  . . .  a swanky Town Centre is all very well, but, we need to look outwards now.

You've hit the nail on the head. Swanky Town Centres seem to be every cities goal.....never mind the people stuck in sub standard housing in run down areas.
