the Quarry Bank  is further towards Alty, the road (Stockport Road which runs through Timperley Village) forks and therighthand road is where the Q.B. is

is it on the corner where the hocky fields used to be i think there used to be a chippy there as well

it has a bowling green at the back at at the end of that there is a road with a chippy on it which stands alone (like a brick hut)

at the end of the shops there used to be a large cafe with a jukebox, floorboards - sadly that's no longer there

a friend of mine was round Sunday, she remembers THE COFFEE POT  on Washway Road, THE CAT'S WHISKER coffee loung on Washway Road

Further along Brooklands Road, the NORMANHURST Hotel, has been fighting plans to turn it into apartments, we just had a petition letter through the door to stop it,  this is going on all the time on Brooklands Road, there are signs on people's houses saying DONT FLATPACK US

Sorry to drag this back on thread  ;D but Droylsden and Audenshaw are sort of ok (ish) and who knows, one day the Metrolink might stretch out there  ;)

It's even getting a marina, blimmin eck!! it'll be the Costa del Jam Factory ;D ;D
