It was so long ago.....I did not really know where it was, only that it wasn't  that far from us. We used to go by ourselves on the bus and we could only have been 9 or 10! I searched the Manchester City Council Image Archives and came up with this photo . It says it was in Derby Street, Cheetwood. (Isn't the Internet a wonderful tool?) Obviously it wasn't an ice rink when this pic was taken!! It looks rather sad don't you think ???

i was listening to a late night radio show, and this man came on and said DO YOU KNOW WHO THIS IS?,  anyway i won't say his name but the talk was about yobs and he was giving his opinion -  it turned out he was a gangster - a very feared and famous one, you could feel the atmosphere (in fact i had never heard the host of the show being more civil)
