Need to be really careful being that strict though - it could lead to terrible things.  If clubs have to be located strictly as named, and relocated if necessary, where are we going to have to put Arsenal.....    :o
It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

Things couldnt be looking better for Man U  right now.........
10 points clear at the top of the league
On the point of crushing Chelsea and going thru to the semis of  Euro Cup
A week away from an FA Cup semi final with Man City    !

The Treble is definitely on  !

According to Brad ......looks like if you put your compass point in  Piccadilly Gardens .... and the pencil end  onto the old City ground....and  drew a circle,
Man U  would be about  4/10ths  of a mile  outside the circle..... not even in Manchester.... but lets face it...  "Trafford United"  does nt have the same ring to it  !

Look. Already told you. Piccadilly Gardens is NOT the centre of Manchester.  ;)

a  Manchester team in the European final
a Manchester team in the FA  Cup final
both sets of fan will  be cheering on Manchester in each  final !

Could be two mega celebrations in Albert square  any time soon !

Re: Manchester - United seal Premiership Title

14 May 2011, 15:37United seal record-breaking title Wayne Rooney stroked home a penalty 17 minutes from time to give Manchester United a 1-1 draw with Blackburn that confirmed them as Barclays Premier League champions for a record 19th time.
Trailing to Brett Emerton's 20th-minute opener, it seemed United would be made to wait for the point required to win the Premier League.
But after Paul Robinson had brought down Javier Hernandez, Rooney kept his cool to knock Liverpool off their perch, as Sir Alex Ferguson promised all those years ago.
Requiring only a point to lift their 12th championship of Ferguson's incredible reign, Nani had thudded a close-range header against the bar with only three minutes on the clock.
At the other end, Christopher Samba had already been slightly unlucky that Phil Dowd had ruled his excellent effort out for a foul on Nemanja Vidic when Emerton drifted a cross-shot to the far post.
Tomasz Kuszczak tried to push the ball away from danger but succeeded only in keeping it in play, which allowed Martin Olsson to retrieve it. After exchanging passes with Junior Hoilett, Olsson crossed to the far post where Emerton finished with an excellent first-time effort.
It nearly got even worse for United when Michel Salgado's cross from the other side of the pitch dropped nicely for Olsson, whose shot was disappointingly off-target.
However, Ferguson must have been questioning the wisdom of his only concession to United's position, offering 40-year-old Edwin van der Sar a rare break, as Kuszczak had twice almost been caught in possession, having dwelt on routine back passes for far too long.
More weak goalkeeping from Kuszczak forced Rio Ferdinand into a rushed clearance before Olsson nodded an Emerton cross against the post with the United keeper nowhere.
Ferguson's men got a break when Kuszczak's opposite number, Robinson, needlessly slid out on Hernandez. The former England keeper complained bitterly at the outcome but Rooney held his nerve to drill home his title-clinching penalty.

Amazing achievement.... 20 years ago no one would  ever have thought they
could surpass Liverpool's record number  of  League title wins........ but............. the reds have done it !!!!!!!!!!
