CRYING
« on: 23:39:37, 14/12/06 »
I can't remember when  I last had a good cry, when I cried as a child I used to go and look in the mirror - I looked so ugly, I couldn't bear to do it again. When did you last cry? at films? at newspaper stories?

Hi Celeste, truly I am a softy while watching films, some of the older ones really pull on the heart strings......
Sometimes I hear a tune on the radio...and it reminds me of past friends no longer with us....then my eyes smart like crazy.........what about you Celeste.....cheers Katy :)

I cry with Films...when I am on my own. I howled when I watched Brokeback Mountain..and when it finished!! The friend who lent it to me swore it wasn't sad....maybe it was just me! ::)

Old Yeller..THE saddest film ever!! :'( :'(
I cried and cried when I saw this film with my Dad at the old ABC - (or was it The Premier??) cinema in Cheetham Hill. I cried all the way home on the bus and all the way from the bus to our house. I then cried all the way upstairs after I received a good smack. (I was only eight!!)...We woz brought up to be tuf in them days!! ;D
Many years later my husband to be took me to the pictures and when we had settled into our seats..HORROR of HORRORS...Old Yeller was the 'other film'. It was only our second date. I can remember hissing "I can't watch this!!" :( I don't remember what happened next but he obviously took my mind off the film as no smacks on that occasion!! ;)

I think they've mostly all gone now in the cities...well they have in Plymouth and there is a big Warner Brother Complex on the outskirts. It is so expensive I don't know how people can afford to go. The last film I saw at the Cinema was 'Love Actually' with a late friend. I can't watch that film now...it makes me feel sad. (I hope I am not coming across as a real misery guts...I'm not..Promise!! :))
