Yes, really. I don't have the slightest trace of paranoia about these things - I'll usually assume someone just didn't see or hear me.   Normally people with dogs are friendly as anything, and my dog's such a waggy, pretty lad that everyone pats him.... his pic is in the old Pets Corner thread along with his sad story if you want to see.   He's like me though, he noticed the snub, looked puzzled for a minute and then wagged off to greet the nice ladies instead.  Snobbery's wasted on us.

My youngest sister phoned earlier, and I was reminded of something my Dad used to say to her.  She's the attention-seeking, drama queen type.  Only truly happy when she's playing the victim, goes looking for opportunities, thinks everyone is always talking about her..... you know the kind.   My Dad used to say "What makes you think you're so special that everyone else is looking your way?".  I suppose it is a form of arrogance to think you're such a focus of attention that you daren't even say hello to a peasant in the petshop!   I'm glad I'm just a peasant - I couldn't cope with the stress of being a Somebody!   ;D

Wow, I shouldn't be stunned but I am, you are right, normally dog people are really freindly. My stepdad had springers, no-one I have ever come across can fail to be won over by a spaniel, dog person or not. Aww, I can just picture your dog looking a bit baffled, spaniels have the most expressive faces. Glad he found a willing and appreciative audience with the two ladies who gave him a biccie!

Lol, I think your Dad had a great point that could be attributed to many I come across on a daily basis. Glad I am a nobody, I have far more fun that way!  ;D

I'll have to take more of a wander around the forum, only so much you can hash over moaning about snobby types eh?! I should stop and have a good old look about.

I am not the pheasant plucker,
I'm the pheasant plucker's mate.
I am only plucking pheasants
Because the pheasant plucker's late.

Lol!!! Best left to the imagination eh?

Sorry I haven't been about, half term is impending so my time gets a wee bit tightened. All good though, today we baked some cupcakes, and Pipsqueak was overjoyed at being able to decorate them, I'll figure out how to do pics and put one on......... definitely not Delia Smith, but gorgeous non the less for the hand of an unselfconcious 5.5 year old!

In my view, you really can't knock a cupcake.....  ;)
You don't have to be mad to fit in round here - but it definitely saves time if we don't have to drive you there!!  ;D

Great! Found somewhere that my slightly left field humor won't get a weird reception..........although sometimes that's half the fun of having a wild sense of humor, is watching the recipient wrestling with wether to laugh or be disdainful! ;D

I have.n t got a sense of humour,'I am a po faced idiot whose
jokes fall flat cos I forget the punchline, I have a couple of friends who say they always leave me with a smile on their
face, now why I dont know, but as long as I keep them happy
thats ok by me...Must admit I enjoy a good laugh, well giggle
snort or belly laugh all does one good.
