Do any of you feel strongly about anything related to Manchester?

This can be anything at all. I'm looking at ideas for a TV package.

Feel free to fire away.....

Regards,

Ashley.

I'd like to see more priority given to housing, affordable so that young people can start a family instead of being sidelined in to cramped accommodation.

Budgeting so that money isn't wasted paying highflying architects over a million to produce an eyesore/s

I think care homes should be made more transparent and be inspected frequently - anyone found guilty of neglecting anyone in a care home or in an NHS hospital should be shot.....out of the place immediately

Too many food programmes -  no wonder there is an obesity problem

Too much reality TV

too many concrete and glass monstrosities being built when there are plenty of decent
buildings available that could be converted.i see they are knocking legends and other
buildings along there to build an hotel.whats wrong with converting the fire station across
the road.it doesn't matter how much council tax payers money they waste does it?
ALL councils should be more accountable for how much of OUR money they waste.

concrete and glass eyesores ruining the soul of the place
industrial investment..proper jobs paying decent wages
warfare on motorists, pedestrianising everything.
city council wasting money like confetti
real jobs for young people instead of mickey mouse schemes.
list is endless really

Arrogant, patronising Council who will only listen to people if there could be something in it for them, such as publicity or the opportunity to knock the opposition.

Planning permission rules that allow something to be opposed and everyone relaxes but then it is able to be pushed through anyway.

Enforcement of double yellow lines for everyone.  Too many people seem to think the double yellow lines are there so they can have a parking place to go and get money out of the bank, nip into the takeaway, etc.  Hazard warning lights have a very clear explanation what they are for in their name, they are not for people who cannot be bothered to find a parking place!

They should also quit with all the traffic calming nonsense. Mini roundabouts popping up everywhere. Sick of the sight of them.

Stupid council obviously  dont want cars or motorbikes in Manchester so  they should have the b----s to ban us and see how long it takes before the cc is a ghost town. They're still upset we all booted out their  congestion scheme scam.  ;D
Looks like there's another one going up where  its not needed   ::) Thought there was a recession on.

The arndale as it's the north west biggest pound shop.
In fact I don't think it will be long before it becomes a huge food court or the biggest pound shop in the uk.
Trafford center as that has now become nothing more than a food court as most of the shops have closed down and become eateries on the shopping side.

Town hall , because of the cash they waste. It's a black hole of cash.

All the stagecoach bus depots for the thieving they do to commuters everyday on the roads in the name of fares. :(
Not really a building but a route , the MCR one way system around the city center is nothing but a petrol burner. Have a 2 way system with free flowing traffic.

The disgusting curry mile having worked there I know what lives in the kitchens. One just has to wonder around the back to see the filth. No wonder the hospitals up the road from it. :-\

Controversial one here but all the terrace housing, no matter what you do to them they will always look depressing. :-[

Any one disagree?

Sounds like little sir echo, the moans and groans
about Manchester are copycats of so many towns\cities and countries.................The only way to change
things is to go back to the beginning remove
all the money grabbing schemes and the
organisers of them, start afresh by laying  out\
out a plan that is like the middle of the worst
then everyone has their complaint sorted.Aha you saybut....yes I knew someone woud have a but
things have got to such a state now that one cannot go
back to the start without upsetting a complete way of life areas  lhave to be torn down and cause
chaos in another part of town..
\From the outside may I suggest everyone decides
which complaint is the most mportant and concentrate
on getting that changed   rememb from little acorns
big oaks grow and will only grow if all agree on how and where to plant the acorn.............from the NZ Brummie
