Council elections and mayoral referendum...

Doesn't seem to be too much discussion of either of these anywhere - bit of an obsession of mine though.  Is it just that most people aren't interested?


There seems to be an interesting mix this go around, communists, pirate party, TUSC etc.. all standing as well as a few independents.  Not to mention the whole mayor thing.


Anyway, if anyone is interested I put together a poll thing, thought I'd post it, it's anonymous and the results are public..

We've already decided who we are voting for and it's not necessarily the party we would vote for in a General election

It's because deciding which party you want to run the country is sometimes different to choosing the best local person to run things for the community.    By and large, people don't talk about politics cos it usually just causes arguments if you have strong views and is deadly dull if you don't.....  :)

Do not talk about  Politics  or Religion they are both tricky
subjects and sure to offend someone.

I support the All Blacks  or our local Rugby Union Team
 
The Chiefs...they are top of the board at present
 
Used to cheers for West Bromwich Albion all the time
BUT have lived here in NZ for 41 years and dont see much
soccer, must admit I prefere Union nowadays

All those muscly chaps writhing about  - I'm not surprised you like it, Sheila!  I can't abide rugby - it was shoved at us all through school as if it was a religion - but I'll happily watch the All Blacks in those shorts.....  O0
