As you said, we don't have anyone better.  Can you imagine the headlines if he'd refused to play?  He can't win with the press right now....  :-\

I'm with Adrian too, Celeste.  I don't know what more you can ask of a team than to finish top of their group in a tournament and not concede in the knockout stage.  We didn't lose 15-0 to the Isle of Wight Reserves..... we lost by the narrowest margin to one of the greatest footballing nations in the World.  I'm OK with that, given the circs.  Hopefully with a bit more time to bring on some young talent, Roy will go on and build an empire.   O0
It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

:D Lol celeste.. I know , i know ...but it's hard to be optimistic when you see how bad we really are .
We need a whole new ethos to our game, starting from the age of 7 upwards...small training pitch with 5/7 aside ,passsing in small areas  ...we need to read the game in a different way too..that is the crux of it ...untill we throw out all our bad habits we aint going anywhere imo

The FA will never agree to anything that might take us forward ....there are too many coaches who shouldn't be in the job tbh .

ARE WE ON TO THE OLYMPICS??  SURELY BECKHAM COULD HAVE BEEN PLAYED FOR PARTS OF MATCHES   [OR WOULD THAT HAVE BEEN INSULTING?] THE MAN HAS BEEN PURE GOLD FOR THE SPORT AND THE COUNTRY,  I HOPE HE GETS FURTHER HONORS, TO BRING HIM UP TO LORD COE STATUS THEN HE WILL GET MORE RESPECT.

mmmm... I think that Balotelli is very strong but also too crazy.

according to me it is a bet for AC Milan...

I have seen the last match ... and i like a lot (when he is calm and concentrated)

I would think your national team would have improved since then
