Serbian ref denies any racism and says our bloke started all the unpleasantries......  given that it has happened before in Serbia and is actually quite common in a few of the previously communist countries, I don't think his version will wash.    Banning them isn't the answer really - they need to see more ethnic diversity so that it ceases to be an issue.    I'd be more in favour of letting them play in the relevant European/World fixtures, but awarding the match to their opponents if there's that sort of antics from supporters.  Forces them to police their own fans if they want any kind of success.
It's nice to be important, but it's also important to be nice.

Oh my word!  have you seen where they have turned it around and shifted the blame back on to us ?This  must be taken further   , we cannot drop this now .Serbia have already been warned about their behaviour in the past .

UEFA are smacking all wrists.  Whilst racism s completely unacceptable, I do think that our players should have ignored it and made complaint after the game, not let it wind them up to reacting as they did.  They've opened the door for UEFA to say it was 50/50 and for Serbia to point the finger.  :-\

I agree, they should have had a little more guile but then they are footballers not politicians :D

True, but they are professionals, paid handsomely to represent us.  The pitch is their place of work and all they are asked to do is turn up and work for 90 minutes without embarrassing us all.   A bunch of ignorant louts made monkey noises.  Everyone knew they would.  They do it because they get a reaction. So what?  Turn up, do your job, ignore them and make a formal complaint afterwards if you feel the need.  Take all the fun out of it for them if there's no response.
