« on: 17:56:54, 16/01/13 »
Hello guys my name is Jeremy I'm from France and I'd like to meet some people in Manchester.

I'm looking for a job here and I still don't know the city. I'm planning to stay here for 1 year. And I also want to practise my English with you guys.

Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers

Corrupt Council..    Speaking for my self I think
you could have been more friendly towards
Jeremy, you sounded very abrupt....
If J has anything about him he knows jobs
could be hardto get but at least do him a favour
and make a welcome sound..
Hi Jereemy, I,m saying welcome from New Zealand
just to let you know we are,nt all so plain speakers

 :D

Don't get you sheilanz ,
I only sounded abrupt because that's how you have interpreted the words I published.
To others I may have sounded sarcastic, humoured , gay, sad or even dare I say it....TRUTHFUL

15000 made unemployed from the high street this week sheilanz here in the UK. As your in New Zealand I don't suppose you were aware of that. So your ignorance to the situation here is probably why you think it sounded abrupt.

I took it that you were warning him of the lack of jobs

Same here,  CC was merely saying it the way it is jobwise right now. Skummy had already been welcomed aboard so I can't see a prob.

Plans to cut 830 jobs, raise council tax and close libraries are announced by Manchester City Council in a bid to plug an £80m hole.

I wonder how much money Mcr City Council wastes every year phoning the speaking clock.  Newcastle City Council 'ring up' a bill of £1,000

Pal of mine used to wind up the Council and write in asking them a load of dumb stuff...'have  you got the right ethnic colour mix of the pins used on notice boards?' and all that. Anyone with half a brain would realise its a wind up and bin the letter pronto.  Not those fools...sometimes he'd get a reply!  ::)  [censored] brain dead or what.

Cllr James henagan was on the radio talking to Alan besick , he said he doesn't trust the council .

He was talking about the shutting down of swimming baths and libraries

This from a cllr ...what does that say to you

But we are getting away from the topic I feel so to get back on track

Hello Jeremy do enjoy your stay in super sunny manchester and I hope you have a great time O0
