Plenty is open some large retail outlets never shut, some night clubs don't actually open until   2 or 3 in the morning.


Lets hope he doesn't make the list , there no crime in being out late and in manchester you should be able to walk down any street without the fear of violence.




Talking of the list happy to say its very short this month so far , lets hope it stays that way.

31 May 2013 Last updated at 16:16    Murder probe after Levenshulme street row death Six people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 40-year-old man in Greater Manchester.
Police were called to Barlow Road in Levenshulme at 18:45 BST on Thursday and found the injured man, whose name has not yet been revealed.
He was taken to Manchester Royal Infirmary but later died.
Police said three men and three women have been arrested. A post-mortem examination is due to take place later.
Supt Neil Bhole said: "A man has lost his life in tragic circumstances and we are working hard to bring the offenders to justice.
"We have already arrested six people on suspicion of murder and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident."
Supt Bhole urged anyone with information to contact Greater Manchester Police.   More on This Story   From other news sites

Pleased you are still keeping the list up to date, I'm sure some of those deaths could have been avoided with a little care

I agree , if any thing the list shows that with a bit of foresight many of the deaths can be avoided , especially the traffic accident.

Murder arrest after woman's body found in Greater Manchester A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a house in Greater Manchester.
The body was found in a house on Surbiton Road, Newton Heath, at 10.15 BST.
A 40-year-old man is being held by police for questioning. Officers said they do not believe there to be a threat to other members of the public.
A post-mortem examination is due to take place to establish the cause of the woman's death.

 Murder probe after woman found dead in Greater Manchester A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead at her home in Greater Manchester.
Police were called to a house in Westbourne Road, Winton, Salford, at about 18:00 BST after reports that a woman had been found dead inside.
Officers discovered the body of 25-year-old Linzi Ashton.
A Home Office post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death has yet to take place but a murder inquiry has been launched.Extra officers Det Chief Supt Darren Shenton, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "A young woman has been murdered and our thoughts are with her family and friends at what is obviously a totally devastating time for them."
He said more information would be released following the post-mortem examination.
"I want to reassure her loved ones as well as those in the local community that we have a team of highly skilled detectives already working on this case but if anyone has any information they think can assist us please call."
Mr Shenton added that there would be extra officers "in the area to offer reassurance so please talk to them if you have any concerns or want to provide us with any information".

  • A 25-year-old woman was "brutally murdered" at her home in Greater Manchester, police have said.
    Mother-of-two Linzi Ashton's body was found on Saturday evening at the house in Westbourne Road, Winton, Salford.
    Greater Manchester Police (GMP) want to interview Ms Ashton's former partner, Michael Cope, 28.
    The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been informed as police had previously received reports about the couple.
    A Home Office post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death has yet to take place.'Brutally assaulted'  Flowers have been laid at The Duke of York pub in Eccles where Ms Ashton worked.
    The pub has been closed as a mark of respect.
     Michael Cope Michael Cope is thought to be in Salford  Det Chief Supt Darren Shenton, of Greater Manchester Police, said: "She has been brutally assaulted and I am satisfied this is a murder investigation."
    GMP confirmed Ms Ashton had visible injuries to her head and face.

    He said there would be extra officers in the area "to offer reassurance - so please talk to them if you have any concerns or want to provide us with any information".
    It is thought Ms Ashton was last seen alive by a friend in the Eccles area shortly before 02:00 BST on Saturday
    Mr Shenton said Cope was still likely to be in Salford and that his family knew police were looking for him.    Det Chief Supt Darren Shenton made a direct appeal to the public

    Most probably another thicko who can't stand rejection so uses violence, if he's the murderer I'll be happy when he's in jail for the rest of his life - no remission

    1 July 2013      Rochdale man accused of Royal Marine manslaughter charge Wesley Clutterbuck Wesley Clutterbuck became a Royal Marine in 2012  A 20-year-old man has been charged with the manslaughter of a Royal Marine in an attack in Rochdale.
    Reece Key, of Waithlands Road, Rochdale, was remanded to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday by magistrates in Bury.
    Wesley Clutterbuck was found with serious head injuries at about 03:20 BST on Saturday in Fleece Street, Rochdale, and died the following day.
    A family tribute said it had been his dream to become a Royal Marine.
    In a statement, they said: "Wes was our life and, in his death, he has given renewed life to so many other people by his organ donations.
    "His wish was to donate as many of his organs as possible and, in the main, this wish has been granted."
    The statement added: "His dream from a young age was to become a Royal Marine Commando and in 2012 he realised this dream and we were so immensely proud of Wes and his achievements."

    Bolton man jailed for life for murdering his mother Paul Stones Paul Stones told police he strangled his mother during an argument  Continue reading the main story Related Stories A Bolton man who told police he strangled his mother to death during an argument has been jailed for life.
    The body of 58-year-old Marian Stones was found at her home on Park Terrace, Sharples, on 10 June 2012.
    Paul Stones, 40, who lived with his mother, denied murdering his mother but the jury found him guilty.
    He was sentenced to life in jail at Manchester Crown Court with an order that he serve a minimum of 17 years before being considered for parole.
    Greater Manchester Police said Stones walked into a police station and said he had just killed his mother by strangling her and that her body could be found in the house they shared.
    Officers then found Ms Stones' body in a bedroom.
    A post-mortem examination found she died of severe neck compression. She also had a cut to the nose and bruising on her eye, arms and tongue.
    Greater Manchester Police's Andrew Tattersall said: "Our thoughts go out to all of the relatives of Marian Stones, for whom this has been a complete tragedy.
    "Only Paul Stones knows why he took the life of his own mother, who did not deserve this fate.
    "Stones now has to live with what he has done for the rest of his life."

    Linzi Ashton murder: Michael Cope 'could be sleeping rough' Michael Cope A reward of £5,000 has been offered for information about Michael Cope  Continue reading the main story Related Stories A man wanted over the murder of his ex-partner in Salford "could be sleeping rough" near a Greater Manchester canal, police have said.
    Michael Cope is being sought over the death of Linzi Ashton, whose body was found at her home on Saturday evening.
    Police said the 28-year-old suspect was last seen on the same day in Boothstown, near the Bridgewater Canal.
    He said more than 30 addresses had been searched by police since Mr Cope was "identified as a suspect".
    Two men have been charged with assisting an offender in relation to Mr Cope's disappearance.
    A third man arrested on the same charge has been bailed pending further inquiries.
    Ch Supt Kevin Mulligan said Mr Cope had a "good knowledge of the pathways around the Bridgewater Canal" and may be using it "between Winton and Leigh".
    He was last seen near The Moorings pub on Booth's Hall Way in Boothstown.
    "He could be sleeping rough [and] we urge people to call the police if they notice any suspicious behaviour around their outbuildings, sheds or gardens," said Mr Mulligan.'More and more desperate' A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said officers were searching properties and public land around the canal and boats on the water.
     Linzi Ashton Linzi Ashton was found dead on Saturday evening  He added that leaflets featuring Mr Cope's details had also been "dropped in different parts of Salford".
    Mr Mulligan said it was "vital we find and speak to" Mr Cope, as there was a danger that he could become "more and more desperate as the manhunt continues".
    "If Cope is seen, he is not to be approached, as we do believe that he is dangerous," he said.
    A £5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of Mr Cope.
    A post-mortem examination found Ms Ashton died as a result of pressure to the neck and multiple injuries.
    She had been seen out in public with Mr Cope on Friday, police said.
    She made an allegation of rape against him in April and reported an assault by him in May.
    Greater Manchester Police has referred the case to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
