Like 'no win no fee'?

Yeah they could go round picking up dog turds. The bigger the log as cc so aptly puts it the more they have to do so it will keep em busy and healthy in the great out doors sorry two others have already suggested this but I do think mine has an added twist....
fate keeps on happening

It would be fine to get them working in the
community BUT it means manpower to make
sure they do the job and dont leg it

About 18 months ago somebody I know got involved in a serious fight and was sentenced to 6 months in Haverigg prison in Cumbria.. I went to visit him one day and it had fabulous views across the Irish sea and off to the Isle of Man from the exercise yard and grounds. After listening to his stories about his time inside I looked up the prison out of curiousity. The prison is at the end of a the little lane leading to the sea.

Just outside the prison the father of the person we were going to see stopped off at a newsagents shop. On coming out of the shop he commented that it had just cost him, "£9.50p" I asked him what for? and he replied, " I have paid to have a morning and evening newspaper delivered to him each day, I shall do that for the duration of his stay. They will be delivered to him daily"  ::)

I suggest you scroll down and read the facilities on offer to the prisoners, and then do as I intend to do. Ask where I can sign up for a few weeks.    ;D

Top class prison, I can't fault it - are prisoners only sent there if they lived within a certain area?
