I find that it's the players who are just not performing, or not good enough - I can't see how the blame should lie with the managers all the time and O'Neill is reckoned to be one of the best.

If I was appointed manager the first thing I would do (if I could) would be to take out insurance in case I was sacked.

I'm sure some of them don't care about the club and are quite happy to take the money and be seen as working

Mark hughes is a great example of a manager who I actually think wanted to get sacked.
His  compensation from  the clubs was in the millions each time he was fired off.

Then he simply waited for a manager to be sacked and was given is job, trouble is it only lasts so long.

There are plenty like mark hughes , who don't have the support staff or the ability to keep clubs in top flight.

Then you have your check book managers who spend there way out of trouble.

Rafa was one of those at Liverpool but the talent to nurture was not there.

Morino has never been at a club long enough to bring through players , he's a check book man.

Mancini is a spender , to early to see if he brings any youth through but I think that's city's next big plan to dominate the youth market.

So that leaves us with the one and only SAF as the manager who is the all rounder.

ROY.
