Your Views? Manchester Door Staff / Security
« on: 13:54:38, 25/03/07 »
Hello,

I'm doing research for an article about door staff and security in Manchester, for an online city guide.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's had particularly memorable...

-  BAD experiences
-  GOOD experiences
-  WEIRD experiences

Basically, anyone with something to say on the subject - the general public AND those working in the industry.

-  Particularly friendly / decent staff in Manchester?
-  Ones to steer clear of?

-  Odd door policies?
-  Enforced girls-to-boys ratios? / guest lists? / etc.
-  Queue-beating / skipping?

I want staff views on the latter few points too... have you had to enforce any policies you disagree with?

- What are the differences between bouncers / doormen / door supervisors etc.?

There's no pressure in terms of publishing your name or or precise details... I just want to chat and it's up to you from there.

I'm after anecdotes rather than stereotypes.

Hoping to hear from you soon!

C :)
