I have read and re-read what I wrote and nowhere can I see where I had suggested I knew that he had pleaded guilty on April 16th, and NOT a month ago as you WRONGLY stated,
 
That is not to say that I did or did not know. Anybody who was in court on the I6th would have heard Stuart Hall plead guilty, and would have been aware of the embargo. However people talk, and the information would have been known to more than a few people before it was officially announced in the press yesterday.

I have a relation who was sexually abused as a 16 year old. She worked as a junior in the office of a very powerful and well known business man who tried to impose his will upon her. She was saved by his secretary who was in the next room to his office before he actually carried out his threat. Being only 16 she kept quiet and didn't even tell her parents. It's only in recent years that she has been able to talk about it. Unfortunately this was I imagine only the tip of the iceberg back then. She left her job a week later and the business man gave her a glowing reference. Scared of the consequences? My relation was told by the secretary that, "He was always like that with his women staff". Which in my opinion was almost as bad as he was. She was condoning his filthy habits by keeping silent.

I wasn't insulting you CC you would have known about it if I was. I was patronising you. At last you have eventually realised that at no point did I say I knew beforehand that Stuart Hall had pleaded guilty.

I don't know about the victims support phone line. I do know that there is a rape crisis and sex abuse centre in I think St. Mary's Hospital now. It used to be in part of the old Police Station on Platt lane Fallowfield in the days when I drove a cab.
 
I can only imagine how harrowing it must be to be in a situation where one is in fear of constant sexual abuse. or even in a position of having been abused. I have read somewhere that most victims of sexual abuse suffer at the hands of relatives or close family friends. It doesn't bear thinking about.
